25-Feb-09		Sycamore grove				So things went pretty well today.  We had several encounters with leashed pups and the worst response would probably be categorized as medium. We were walking away from the dog into the weeds and Abby got a bit bitey on her leash, but she calmed down fairly quickly as we got further away.  She ended up in a sit.  We also had a medium reaction to some dogs that were running along the fence line while I was out there allowing bikes / people to pass. She did quite a bit better with the other dogs on leash but it might be because of moving off the road sooner and getting parallel to the other dog rather than going away (this is a theory).  All in all she did pretty good today and had no "explosions".  She passed people well (we walked on the side of the path, not on it) and got a few comments about how beautiful she is......and she got a lot of treats.
24-Feb-09						Following people about 150 feet away.....no problem Dog and Lady approaching from front - crossed street and mild reaction - she took notice but came back to me quickly and responded to cookies. Two dogs and Lady approaching from front - probably about 300 feet away -  we crossed back to the other side - Abby took mild notice but once again did not get jumpy - treated and moved along. working around the corner towards Hopyard walking on street - dog and man approaching on sidewalk and we crossed to other side.  Abby reacted more than mild but less than medium.  Quickly recovered. On the way home we came across some kids who were being load and shuffling their feet.  Once again she took some notice but it was mild and she quickly recovered. In the court (taking the non hopyard way home there was a dog off leash. We sat and walked the other way until the dog went into the house - good puppy. All in all she did pretty good with the issues of the day....only mild response - no leaping, pulling on the leash, etc.

15-Feb-09	1 1/2 hour	From the house - Sports park	2 dogs several humans at a distance 1 too close	50+	no reaction to dogs 1 reaction to a human	Bigest challenge on this walk was squirls.  If I saw them before Abby it went well with no reaction.  If she saw them first I got a lunge and she came back to me quickly and I managed the pass with no further reaction. One human a guy we know was walking, I hesitated when he approached and Abby lunged and barked.  I was able to get her back quickly.
14-Feb-09	1 1/2 hour	From the house - Sports park	11 dogs several people	30 to 50ft	3 reactions none to big	The first reaction was a surprise we were doing fine it was at the park across the street.  We were on the inside walkway with the dog and boy ahead.  I managed by keeping my distance.  We as we followed he got further ahead so he was now on the street side sidewalk.  We were passing and Abby had a small reaction that I was able to get her on the move and walking at my side. The next dog was at the sports park, it was quiet so I decided to do the loop.  We saw a dog off leash so I headed to the center of the part.  We passed successfully until we were headed back to the sidewalk and the dog started to approach, I ask the women to recall the dog kept coming, Abby had a small reaction, we had a spin around and continued walking to the sidewalk. The third was coming home; the corner house often let their dog out in the front yard off leash.  He is a big black lab that reacted to Abby when he saw her, we had a spin around and as we crossed the street and when we got to the sidewalk I put her in a sit.  I moved further away if she had too long of a stare.  The owner was out with the dog and did nothing; she let her dog react and poop.  Once he finished he headed back to the house.  Abby and I started back  toward the dog (we had to get on the street to go home) she was listening to me and we walked past (on the other side of the street) and she was fine.
12-Feb-09	45 mins	From the house - business park	no dogs 2 humans		2 reactions to humans	first I thought I could pass a man with his head down and hands in pockets, Abby lunged and scared the crap out the guy he retreated.  Second was just a lunge when I approached two neighbors that have met Abby, I got a Lunge and she returned quickly.  They wanted to approach I said no.
